← DUSK DUEL
BUILT FOR A QUICK REMATCH

An original browser fighter.

Dusk Duel is an independent two-player fighting game with original code, procedural silhouette artwork, environments and synthesized sound. It does not use characters, graphics, music, or branding from existing commercial fighting games.

How online play works

The game is simulated and rendered on your device. The server manages rooms and helps browsers connect. Inputs normally travel directly between browsers using WebRTC; an encrypted WebSocket relay is available when a direct connection cannot be made. Prediction and rollback correct late inputs. Online play still depends on network quality and distance. These are private friendly matches, not a cheat-proof ranked competition.

Rooms and your information

A temporary, secure browser cookie identifies your seat. You can choose a nickname; no account, email, camera, microphone or uploaded files are required. Room invitations are single-use and expire after 15 minutes. A room supports exactly two players and ends when its host leaves, after the host has been disconnected for two minutes, or after three hours. A disconnected guest’s seat is released after 90 seconds.

Room data is stored temporarily in server memory. The server does not record gameplay or retain a match history. Standard server logs may contain IP addresses, request paths and browser information. WebRTC uses Cloudflare’s STUN service for connection discovery, and a direct peer connection can reveal network addresses to the other player. Invite people you trust.

Practice and controls

Practice mode runs locally against an AI opponent. Keyboard, touch controls, and standard browser gamepads are supported. Sound is synthesized in the browser and can be muted at any time. No advertising or third-party analytics scripts are loaded.
